We are Partners in the Development of the Nation-VC-KASU tells Immigration Comptroller

A team from the prestigious Kaduna State University paid a courtesy visit to the Comptroller of Immigration Services, Kaduna State Command, Lawal Mohammed Bashir on Wednesday, 6th September 2023.

The Vice-Chancellor of KASU, Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa who led the team said the University and the Nigeria Immigration Service are partners in nation-building. 

He said that both Institutions need to partner for strategic reasons that will take them to greater heights. He went further to say that KASU is willing to offer certification programmes and packaged executive training to the Officers and personnel of the service.

Prof. Musa informed the Comptroller and his team of Management's aspiration to reposition the university to a world-class standard with emphasis on teaching excellence, research and community service. 

In his response, the Comptroller welcomed the Management of KASU and expressed the willingness of NIS to partner. He said it is an honour to be deemed a worthy partner to move the nation forward. 

The Comptroller noted that the Nigeria Immigration Service is saddled with many responsibilities such as the issuance and renewal of Nigerian passports, ECOWAS travelling certificates, and implementation of the laws against trafficking in persons. 

The Comptroller applauded the strategic Plan of the Management.
