During the visit, the team shared their ongoing efforts under the Traffic for Youths initiative, which targets young people. The initiative aims to enhance youth engagement in road safety awareness and advocacy, with plans to reach 5,000 youths in both Kaduna and Abuja. They also highlighted their sustainability project, which involves using waste products to create functional furniture for sale — a creative initiative that contributes to environmental conservation and carbon reduction efforts.
Welcoming the visitors, the Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa expressed appreciation for selecting KASU as a partner, noting that the initiative aligns perfectly with the University’s Strategic Plan. He emphasised KASU’s commitment to sustainability through its KASU Green programme and the adoption of digital learning platforms, which help reduce carbon emissions associated with physical mobility.
