Kaduna State University unveils strategic plan.

In an unwavering effort to take Kaduna State University to greater heights, a session was held for its strategic plan for stakeholders of the institution at the main campus.
In his welcome address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa said the aim is to validate the document in moving KASU to a world-class standard and competitiveness. 
In her remarks, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Strategy, Innovation and Service Delivery, Prof. Helen Andow called on stakeholders to look into the document with an eagle eye to the realisation of the plan. 
Unveiling the strategic plan, facilitators, Prof. Nasir Usman and Dr Nasir Kawu outlined five strategic focal areas: achieving teaching excellence, achieving research excellence, improving community engagement, improving physical infrastructure and student-centred university.
While, the bedrock of the philosophy is rooted in three independent but complementary principles on organisational reform, change management and business process redesign. 
Various contributors including the Overseer, of the College of Arts Humanities and Law, Prof. Ahmed Kofa Babajo sought inclusive discussion with Deans and HODs, while, Prof. Tukur Abdulkadir emphasised the sincerity of purpose and commitment. Also, Provost, of the College of Sciences, Computing and Engineering, Prof. HO Aboh called for ownership of the document. Supporting the document, Prof. Kato Auta stressed the value of worth especially integrity and respect. Asserting contributor's input, DVC, Academic, Prof. Yusha’u Ango confirmed the document is a product of the University to be collectively imbibed. 
Wrapping up the session, DVC, SISD, and Prof. Helen Andow charged all the stakeholders to commence the 40-task mandate in achieving the strategic plan. 
Other stakeholders in the session included  Management and Senate Committee members and leadership of unions- ASUU, SSANU, NAAT and NASU.
