The Vice-Chancellor of KASU, Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa applauded Nigeria Police for the good and proactive steps taken by partnering with the university security personnel in fighting crime and safeguarding lives and property in KASU, its environs and Kaduna State in general.
He said that the university was interested in sustaining the existing working relationship because without adequate security an administration won't run successfully.
Prof. Musa informed the Commander and his team of Management's aspiration to reposition the university to a world-class standard with emphasis on teaching excellence, research and community service.
He said as partners, KASU is willing to impart the acumen and intellectual property of the NPF personnel through executive professional training and virtual learning.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police, CP Musa Yusuf Garba welcomed the Management of KASU and stated that Nigeria Police, Kaduna State Command holds the university in high esteem and said he and his team are willing to partner and consolidate on the existing cordial relationship. He said community policing is a priority, and won't rest on its oars in combating crime and criminals. The Nigeria Police will continue to deliver security and support for the protection of lives and property.
He advised Management to aim to retain the peace enjoyed on the different university campuses and surrounding communities.
The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Muhammad Bashir Ali, the Registrar, Samira Balarabe, Esq, the Dean, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Yakubu Zaki, the University Chief Security Officer, Col. Ahmed Yabagyi (Rtd), the University Public Relations Officer, Adamu Nuhu Bargo, and the Protocol Officer to the VC, Mallam Hadi Tanko.
