"The lesson learnt today is the need to improve the learning ways of the university" ~Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Strategy, Innovation and Service Delivery at Kaduna State University organized a one-day strategic implementation workshop on Monday, 29th April 2024.

The workshop, themed "KASU Marching to Excellence: Digitalization and Autonomy," featured presentations by the university's management team, headed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa.

Attendees included Provosts, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, and Unit Heads.

The VC pointed out that the workshop aimed to facilitate continuous dialogue for implementing the university's new strategic plan, while emphasizing the importance of implementing the planned objectives across the university community.

Prof. Helen Afang Andow, the DVC, Strategy, Innovation, and Service Delivery, discussed the significance of strategic implementation and outlined strategies for achieving university objectives, focusing on communication, key performance indicators, transparent reporting, resource optimization, and staff training, among others.

DVC Academic, Prof. Yusha'u Ibrahim Ango highlighted on aligning skills with the strategic goals, focusing on achieving teaching and research excellence, community engagement, infrastructure improvement, and student-centric approaches. He also called for interdisciplinary collaborations on researches within and outside the university.

DVC Administration, Prof. Muhammad Bashir Ali,  emphasized on maintaining the university infrastructure collectively to enhance the quality of education, promoting sustainability practices for long-term benefits.

The university Registrar, Barr. Samira Balarabe stressed the importance of digitalization for operational efficiency in a digital world, while advocating for teamwork in order to realize the university's strategic goals.

The VC Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa concluded the workshop by emphasizing departmental strategic alignment with the university's plan in the bid to embrace new learning methods suitable for the digital era.
