KASU Emerges Victorious in NIESV Zonal Quiz Competition

Kaduna State University (KASU) triumphed in the recent National Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) Zonal Quiz Competition, outshining competitors from Kaduna State Polytechnic, Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, and Bayero University Kano (BUK) in the North West region. Represented by two students, KASU also secured 4th place in the National Quiz Competition, showcasing their dedication and resilience.

Dr. A.A Ibuoye, H.O.D Estate Management at KASU, led the delegation that presented the Excellent Performance award to the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa on April 25th, 2024.

The VC, expressing delight at the achievement, encouraged the team and pledged ongoing support for such endeavors. 

The delegation also included Mr. M.B Wahab, Student Staff Adviser, and Barde Y. Nuhu, EMSA President.

KASU SIGNED MoUs WITH SIX NEW PARTNERS

In the bid to actively collaborate with partners in its transformative journey, Kaduna State University (KASU) signed six Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) on Tuesday, 23rd April 2023, at the faculty of pharmacy's boardroom. 

Led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abdullahi I Musa, KASU welcomed partners including AIC Water, AK Football Academy, TREE Care, Ascediq, UFUK, and Ledger Labs.

During the event, the University lawyer Abdulmutallab Idris, who prepared the MoUs, presented them to the VC and the representatives of the new partners for signing.

Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa expressed KASU's commitment to enhancing its educational environment through such collaborations. He highlighted the ongoing implementation of a new strategic plan and assured the partners of KASU's dedication to fulfilling its obligations, emphasizing zero tolerance for failure.

Additionally, Deputy Vice Chancellor, of Strategy, Innovation, and Service Delivery, Prof. Helen Afand Andow, reiterated the university's strategic direction focused on adding value. She urged the partners to uphold integrity, commitment, dedication, and quality in their collaborations, emphasizing the importance of bringing their best efforts to the table.

Prof. H.O Aboh, the Director of KASU CONSULT, reassured the new partners that they would be directly working with his office and emphasized that the university is progressing rapidly and will not tolerate any form of negligence in the discharge of their duties.

The new partners expressed gratitude to the university for providing such an opportunity and assured KASU of their awareness of its esteemed reputation. They pledged their commitment to the terms and conditions of the collaborations and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship.

Also during the signing was the Director of KASU Health Services, Dr Umar Muhammad, the S.A. to the VC on Business Development, Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi, among others.

KASU to Partner KADEDA on Harnessing Entrepreneurial Skills

The Kaduna State Enterprise Development Agency (KADEDA) visited the office of the Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University on Tuesday, 23rd April 2024.

During the visit, the Managing Director of KADEDA, Dauda Iliya Abba, expressed the Agency's readiness to collaborate with KASU to offer business solutions to students. They introduced a program called STUDENTPRENUERSHIP, aimed at providing entrepreneurial students with ideas for developing viable ventures, promoting financial independence, and encouraging societal contributions. Dauda also proposed a partnership for training and certifying students in business programs at KASU.

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa welcomed this partnership, seeing it as timely for the university's strategic plan. He stressed the importance of nurturing entrepreneurial minds and shared KASU's entrepreneurship plan, Horizon KASU, designed to elevate dreams and create a transformative educational journey.

The meeting yielded significant results as both parties aimed for a stronger relationship.

KASU HOSTS IT'S 2023/2024 UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE MATRICULATION CEREMONY.

Kaduna State University (KASU) celebrated its 2023/2024 undergraduate and postgraduate Matriculation ceremony on Friday, 19th April 2024 at the main campus and on Monday, 22nd April 2024, at the Kafanchan campus. 

During his opening address at the main campus, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa, warmly welcomed the newly admitted students, whom he assured were rigorously selected based on merit. Prof. Musa emphasized the endless possibilities that await the new students while also highlighting the university's technological advancements, including the start of e-learning and the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cyber security programs, reflecting KASU's commitment to modernity and connectivity.

He assured the students of the quality of education they would receive from skilled lecturers and encouraged them to actively engage in academic discussions that would enrich their journey. 

The ceremony also featured an oath-taking conducted by the university's Registrar Barr. Samira Balarabe invited the Provosts of colleges and Deans of faculties to present their students to the V.C. who were then officially matriculated as witnessed by parents, guardians, and well-wishers amid cheers. 

The event was attended by notable figures like the DVC Academic, Prof. Yusha'u Ibrahim Ango, DVC Administration, Prof. Bashir Muhammad Ali, DVC Strategy, Innovation, and Service Delivery, Prof. Helen Afang Andow, The University Librarian, Dr. Babangida Umar Dangani, as well as other members of the Senate, staff, and students.

The Matriculation ceremony at the Kafanchan campus was led by the DVC administration, Prof Bashir Muhammad Ali, who represented the VC Prof. Abdullahi I Musa. The oath-taking for the newly admitted students was also conducted by the university registrar Barr. Samira Balarabe. The atmosphere was that of cheer and excitement from students, parents and guardians.
