Intercollegiate games foster unity.

The second edition of the Kaduna Metro inter-tertiary institution games kicked off at Kaduna State University's main campus on Monday, 26th February 2024.

Participating institutions include the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Greenfield University, Kaduna Polytechnic, and Kaduna State University.

In his welcoming address, Professor Abdullahi I. Musa, the Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University, extended a warm welcome to participants and highlighted the significance of sports in fostering unity among staff and students. He reiterated the university's commitment to enhancing sports activities and encouraged all participants to embody the spirit of sportsmanship and give their best.

The games played on the first day of the event included Volleyball, Football, and Basketball.

Also present were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic, Prof Yusha'u Ibrahim Ango, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Administration, Prof Muhammad Bashir Ali, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Strategy, Innovation, and Service Delivery, Prof Helen Afang Andow, the University Bursar, Hajiya Hauwa'u Muhammad Dalhat, among others.

KASU enhances blended and virtual learning systems for its lecturers

Kaduna State University is enhancing teaching excellence through a comprehensive training programme on blended and virtual learning systems for its lecturers.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Strategy, Innovation and Service Delivery, Prof. Helen Afang Andow, inaugurated the training at the main campus, emphasising the significance of embracing technology for flexible and comfortable teaching. 

Prof. Andow highlighted the university's commitment to achieving the goals of blended learning and encouraged participants to become ambassadors of the scheme.

Dr Fatima Kabir, the Coordinator of E-learning, underscored the platform's importance in realising the university's strategic plan for teaching excellence. 

The initial two-day training targeted 100-level lecturers in the College of Sciences, Computing, and Engineering, with plans to replicate it across all university colleges.
